The Naiad

The sun rose. It was morning again. Another day yet to begin. Each day was a new beginning to the villagers. Each day was a new hope. Each day was so much different from yesterday. But for the naiad, who bathes in the fountain, each day was as worse as the day before.

The naiad was never allowed to leave the fountain. She was to spend each minute of her life watching the villagers as the water gently sprayed on her. It was a pleasure, really, to stay with the thing she really liked. The water was the only thing she looked forward to each morning. For when the sun rises, the water will begin to splash on her. She felt contented with what the god gave her, an eternity of pleasure.

The naiad would watch as the villagers pass by. She would secretly smile when young men adore her beauty and grace. One of these young men came to visit her each morning. He would watch as the naiad bathed in the fountain. The naiad enjoyed having company, or rather, someone who would not only look then leave but someone who would stay and watch. This man became the thing the naiad looked forward to each day.

The naiad became terribly lonely soon. No, the man had not stopped visiting. In fact, he began to stay even longer, until noon. When the young man leaves at noon, the naiad would silently speak.

Oh, how terrible this curse you landed upon me, god! Did you not tell me that you loved me? And that you will love me for eternity? And did I not tell you that I can no longer love you back? You listened to me, yes, and you told me that you will not want nothing from me but to see me smile and enjoy your gifts. And I believed you! But can you not see that I suffer? Can you not see that your gifts keep me away from the real happiness? Can you not see that you lock me away from my joy? It was you who said that I must be happy. Have you gone so selfish that you would not allow me to be one? Now I realize why you gave me my eternal pleasure. You never wanted me to feel happiness.
It was all self-interest. You did this so men could do nothing but stare at me. Now god, I want to be happy. Release me from this marble that encloses me. Allow me to feel happiness. Allow me to fall in love.

Our Play

Our play turned out well. Thanks to the propsmen, the director, the scriptwriters, and to the cast as well. Yes, it turned out fine aside from the unperformed musical numbers, some lines I forgot which I immediately covered up with adlibs [thankfully], long intervals of set-changing, and un-brought props. But they said it was okay.

I was also so happy because I got to dance in the masquerade! Thanks to Shara and Harvey for dancing with me.

Here are some of the pictures I haven't posted yet. I won't be needing to add captions here because I have introduced the cast before, right?

Anyway, here are some lines taken from the play that I liked.

##Antoinette: Have you had tea already? And a mean old man just FORCED himself on me! The horror of it!
##Antoinette: But he's so...OLD!

I loved how terrible Antoinette describes old Count Vladimir.

##Antoinette: It's not heartburn, silly! My heart--it feels weird for some reason. It keeps beating so hard that I can't breathe like the time when I was chased by that dog! And my stomach feels like it is knotted within me like the time I had diarrhea!

This is my favorite Antoinette dialogue.**heart eyes**

##Amethyst: Honestly, how beautiful those eyes are!
##Arthur: Your smile is beau--um, ehem. Yes, I would proceed.

What can I say? Wahahaha.

##Hella: Au revoir, cute king!
##Hella: I'm back, you drooling mongrel!

Both are addressed to King Arthur. I think these lines are cute.

##Antoinette: OW! You just stepped on my foot!
##Count Vladimir: It was just your imagination princess.

I loved how stupid Count Vladimir's defense is.

##Yorich, the Jester: Hey, hey, do I look pretty now?
##Antoinette: You look like a pig's butt!

Wahahaha.

Yorich, the Jester: Let me be selfish for a while...(embraces Antoinette)

**heart eyes**

Narrator: (I sort of forgot how this was exactly written but it goes like...) Count Vladimir found joy in Purplevine's arms. And they lived happily ever after.

Sorry, I really can't remember how it went. I liked it simply because this is where Chester falls in love with Janine. Wahahaha.

**Thanks to Patrice for the last pic!
**Sorry, I cannot grant your request. However, I will be happy to tell you in private how the story went. I wouldn't want to be the one to tell the world about the work of our beloved scriptwriters.
**Oh, thanks for waiting for like forever for this page to load. Thanks again!

The Curse of Happiness

Our Arts teacher gave us a project two months ago. She instructed us to create our own musical--unique story, unique characters and the like. But rondalla members are exempted in Arts, so Eunice and I asked our teacher to allow us to take part in this project because it sounds so exciting. Actually, it is exciting.

Of course we won't get ourselves involved in a project we won't be graded if we don't get to act. That's our purpose of joining this project, to be one of the cast. And so I was so happy when Kriselle asked me, "Alyzza, gusto mo maging queen?". Thinking that the queen she was talking about is evil, I said yes. Unlike what I thought, the queen here is a good, pure-hearted, un-vain, and chaste queen. Anyway, I can't take back what I said so there I was, ruling the kingdom.

"The Curse of Happiness". That's what our scriptwriters entitled the play. It's about..um, just watch it tomorrow, okay? Wahahahaha. Let me introduce you the cast.

Tatum: Princess Antoinette

Shara: Princess Aurora

Mark: The Jester, Yorich, Arthur

Chester: Count Vladimir

Alyzza: Queen Amethyst

Eunice: Hella the Witch aka the Sorceress, The Lady from Madina Lake

Rabbi: King Arthur

Janine: Purplevine

Janice: Frostberry

And now, for some nice royal family pictures.

I don't want to spoil so I won't speak of its plot. And I need to finish my essay in Journ and study for tomorrow's tests. I'll post more pics of our lovely play next time. BTW, thanks to the very good scriptwiters! [Caluya+Kriselle]. Loved the epilogue. And the prologue. And every little detail about the play.

16:1000

I've only had at most 5 hours of sleep during the last schooldays and only 3 hours of sleep today because of the Math Camp but, surprisingly, the sandman hasn't visited me yet. While waiting for him, I decided to share how my version of the Math Camp/Day went.

Math Day

I really hated wearing that shirt. Honestly, I can't stand having its fibers wrapped around my body. The Math Camp shirt is disgusting. But I agreed to wear it provided that I wear a jacket to hide its outrageous print.

The Math Day wasn't that fun nor that boring. I think that the Intrams activities were still the best. I spent the morning watching our team compete with the other teams with Tolits reading a Meg Cabot book. Wahahaha. I had a lot of company after sometime. There was Mark, Kuya Jerry, Miguel, Joyce, Effie, and Eunice coming and going.

We were given time to rehearse for the Dance Revo [for "Hey Mickey"] and the singing-contest-something in the tune of "The Twelve Days of Christmas" after lunch. Then I, with my classmates who joined the
singing-contest-something, watched and cheered for our other classmates who competed in the Dance Revo. They were fine and they looked happy. At that moment, I felt that I should have just joined in the Dance Revo than listen to our hopeless singing.

I will cut my story about the Math Day
here because the next stories happened during the night and will therefore oppose the title, "Math Day".

Math Camp

I loved the Math Camp though there were many things that made me loathe it like:
1. The competitions depend on money.
2. The Math shirt sucks.
3. And we are obliged to wear it.
4. The bossy girl.
5. There's no McDo.
6. The way the teams were created.
7. Mosquitoes feasted on us.
8. I heard "Hey Mickey" 24 times. And in different versions.
9. Someone who caught an LSS in "Your Guardian Angel" still has it today.
10. A bitter man didn't allow his band to play.
11. We did such an embarrassing performance in the
singing-contest-something.
12. We were not allowed to use our classroom as our quarters.
13. And we had to share a small room with another section.
14. It rained. As it always did on camps.
15. I was woken up so early.
16. They always cut "Facedown" at a certain point.

But those 16 things didn't hinder the Math Camp to be the best camp I had this school year. Actually, I was choosing between the English Camp and the Math Camp but since only a few students were left in the morning of the English Camp, I'd say that the Math Camp is the best this school year.

I would really love to write everything about why I loved this camp so much but my mind says that I can not, or rather, I must not. My blog can be viewed by the public and I wouldn't like my diary to be viewed by everyone. I filter what I post in here. So why did I like this camp the most? Because:
1. Sileph Infinity rocks.
2. And their songs were great [which made Miguel and I sing too]. Forevermore, Your Guardian Angel, Nothing's Gonna Stop us Now, Mahirap Magmahal ng Syota ng Iba gave us an LSS.
3. It was fun watching the sophomores' performances in the singing-contest-something.
4. Effie and Eunice did a heroic act.
5. The fireworks display was sort of fun.

1000. Joyce, Effie, Eunice, Tolits, and Miguel helped me enjoy the camp.
