Transformation

Some people observed something different from me. They say that my personality kind of changed. I don't know why. I know I'm still me. Check this out for details on my so-called transformation.

Orion's Belt

This might be too late but anyway.

Kuya Jerry distributed his heart-shaped polvoron. It was his way of greeting us a "Happy Valentine's Day!”.

It was Wednesday so we had to do our weekly "general cleaning". I was assigned to wipe the windows that day. It's better than scrubbing the floors.

I sniffed white roses after cleaning. Hmm.

I was about to go home with Joyce until Miguel showed up. He invited me to play DOTA. "Okay", I said. After a few seconds I saw him hopping in a tricycle. He smiled and waved goodbye. What? He left me? How could he? He is pure evil.

Kind classmates, Tolits and Riel, came. "Iniwan ka ni Miguel. Sama ka na lang samin". They invited me to the baywalk. It is commonly known as "aplaya" but they call it the Great Wall. I never bothered to ask why.

We found company there, our classmates. You might ask what we did by the bay. We enjoyed the cold wind brushing against our faces. It was enough to ease our worries. We talked and laughed. We exchanged complaints about life. Why is it so? Why do we have do this and that? We tried hitting the metal poles by throwing pebbles. It was difficult to hit the poles since dark was approaching. I hit 21 poles after many tries. I listened to their songs. We gazed at the stars. There were a lot of stars that night. Tolits showed me the Orion's Belt. We laughed some more. Finally, it was time for us to go home.

You don't need cards, chocolates, flowers and other presents to enjoy this day. You and your friends hanging somewhere cool (coffee shop or under the night sky) will be just fine.

Charlotte's Web

Inna took her entrance exams last Saturday.

She looked very tired when she got home. Ate Angge suspects that she's depressed. The difficulty of the exams made her depressed, probably.

So we took her to the mall so she could forget the event. We decided watching Charlotte's Web. Maybe it will entertain Inna for some time.

Wilbur the pig is scared of the end of the season, because he knows that he will end up on the dinner table. He hatches a plan with Charlotte, a spider that lives in his pen, to ensure that this will never happen.

While watching the movie, Inna munched on popcorn. Maybe that's her way of coping with her depression. When I'm depressed, I eat popcorn, cookies and ice cream
.

Anyway, Inna forgot about her depression.

I checked the list of qualifiers this morning and her name was there. Nothing to worry about for her.

Math Day/Camp

To celebrate the Math Month, our school held a Math day.

I was very excited that day.

I entered the school and there were I think 4 colors that stood out: green, red, blue and yellow.
I'm in the green team so I have to wear a green shirt. Our school was filled with the banderitas each section made. It's hard to tell the details of what happened during the day. I'll just show pictures and give a brief description of each.

Early morning and the games haven't started yet. While waiting for the players to get ready, Joyce and I took a picture of ourselves.

That's us (me, Joyce and Effie) trying to get a good stolen shot of us together. Unfortunately, Effie won't fit. We tried a lot of times but nothing happened.

We finally gave up so we asked an innocent freshman to take our picture. That's us enjoying the result of the games. Some of our teammates (the green people behind) got in the pic too.

After eating lunch, we stayed in the corridor waiting for the activities to resume. Joyce took a picture of me, texting.

We just took our lunch so we're happy.

More people came and we held the "Pacute-an ng Pose Competition". I don't know who won.

We camped at school during the night. We entered the "Jingle Rap Contest". I was one of the unfortunate people our class president picked to perform. 19 students from our class were chosen. Here is the list of the unfortunate people arranged with their partners:
1. Alyzza--Harvey
2. Allen--Tolits
3. Effie--Rabbi
4. Nemei--Mark
5. April--Dela
6. Janean--Riel
7. Denise--Norlan
8. Elainne--Jeff
9. Ate Jenny--Chester
10. Caluya ( I think he didn't have a partner. He performed solo when there were parts you need a partner. )

Why unfortunate? Because we have to rehearse everyday until late at night so we could give the judges a good performance. The rest of the class made the banderitas. They also supported us and wished us good luck.

Before the rehearsals (me, Gizelle, Effie)

That was before the presentation ( me, Gizelle, Joyce and Effie). Tolits and Kuya Jerry Boy came at the last minute so they got into the picture.

This one was before the presentation too. We were racing to the spot where the picture will be taken. We love taking our pictures so whenever we see a camera peeping from one of my classmates' hands, we rush to get in the picture.

The "jingle" turned out okay. From the judges' faces, I can see that they're enjoying what Caluya was doing. My partner and I also had a tiny mistake during the presentation. We forgot to exchange places. Nobody noticed anyway.

I enjoyed the rest of the night until dawn laughing with my classmates. Girls and boys were separated so we stayed in the new building. We laughed, ate, played cards and teased. By the time a lot of people were already sleeping, we decided to keep quiet and just text each other. Unli kasi kami. Miguel texted me what happens in their room. My other textmates slept already.

And then I too fell asleep.

Dustpan

The dustpan project was the highlight of my day today.

Why do we have to make dustpans if we can buy, anyway? Making it would cost so much time and energy.

I sat and began to smooth my block of wood using a sandpaper. I eyed the passers-by who looked at what we were doing. They must be very thankful because they do not do what we do. It was windy and chilly. I need to rub my eyes often because they hurt when the wind blows and brings dust into my eyes. x_x.

Then I sketched lines on my metal sheet that serve as guide lines. Sketching was easy if you have a ruler and a comfortable seat.

Then we need to hammer the sides. I can't get it right so I asked our teacher to do the right side for me. Fortunately, she agreed then I started to work on the left side. I asked one friend to do the left side because I am afraid I might mess it up. Thankfully, she agreed.

Then I joined the very long queue. We need to use the bench vise to flatten the wider sides. I waited for about 55 minutes. My other classmates were gone, some had finished their projects already and the others decided to do it on Monday. There were still 4 people ahead of me. Since I can't wait any longer, I hammered their metal sheets for them. It was really quick. I don't know why other people take like a century to do it.

I haven't finished my project yet but it will certainly be done by Monday. I still have a project to tend to. I have to make a storybook and present it in class on Monday. I also have to rehearse on my storytelling. T_T.
